On Tuesday night, Pakistan's security forces carried out an operation to scatter thousands of supporters of the country's imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, after the crowd broke through barriers and gathered in the capital, Islamabad, calling for his release. Global reactions to ICC arrest warrants for Israel’s Netanyahu and Gallant

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of "war crimes."

The court stated on Thursday that there were "reasonable grounds" to believe that Netanyahu and Gallant "intentionally and knowingly deprived the civilian population in Gaza of essential supplies."

The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif, accusing him of "crimes against humanity and war crimes." Israel had previously claimed that Deif was killed in an airstrike in southern Gaza in August.

ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan had requested the warrants six months earlier. In August, Khan urged the court to act quickly, stressing that "any unjustified delay in these proceedings harms the rights of victims."

Since the announcement, Israeli officials have strongly criticized the warrants, with Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev labeling them as "modern anti-Semitism disguised as justice.
